New Mastodon Album Full Stream

Without further delay here is Mastodon's newest album, complete with visuals. Also, be sure to watch this awesome burrito commercial featuring Mastodon's own Brent Hinds.

Fleshgod Apocalypse

Seriously seriously brutal symphonic metal. If you hear that moniker and immediately think of Nightwish I wouldn't blame you, but you couldn't be more wrong. This probably has more in common with death metal than symphonic but with some killer symphonic parts thrown in. These sons of Italy make the boot proud.

Kiss It Goodbye

Nothing even needs to be said here, the song speaks for itself.

deadeyesunder

I remember buying this album from Dan Gump of Life Sentence Records fame at a xClearx show at good ol' Tower Theatre in Salt Lake City. This happens to be the same venue where a buddy of ours cold clocked Vanilla Ice in the face, but that's a whole other story. This album brutalized my face from the very first listen. It's just so much more raw and real than all the glossy crap that you see coming out these days. I don't think this band stuck around long unfortunately, in fact this may have been their only release but don't hold me to that. Here is their myspace page, make sure that you listen to Stricken Apathesia for the good stuff.

Medusa

So it only took me six months or so but here is my second post and man is it a deuzy (sp?)! The almighty Medusa hailing from Bloomington, Indiana, home of, well...um...oh yeah, really awesome b-rated roller derby zombie romantic comedies and brutalizing punk thrash/doom bands. Head to their website and check it on out. I was so excited about this one that I hopped right on and bought the vinyl. Oh and Bloomington is home to one of my favorite all time bands, Murder By Death, if you're not acquainted I highly recommend it.
